February 26, 2014 - The Cardozo Journal of Conflict Resolution is #8 in the nation in the broad field of "Civil Litigation and Dispute Resolution" in the 2013 Washington & Lee rankings of law reviews, released February 24, 2014.

The Journal had a banner year in other ways as well. CJCR hosted the seventh annual AALS ADR Section Works-in-Progress Conference in November 2013. Twenty two ADR scholars from around the country came to the two-day event to make presentations about their current scholarly project.

CJCR also received a $100,000 grant from its founding Editor-in-Chief, Jed Melnick, to support the annual symposium, now called the Jed D. Melnick Annual Symposium. After a fall symposium on Bioethics, Health Policy, and Alternative Dispute Resolution in the Age of Obamacare, a special Symposium Issue with a primary focus on bioethics alternative dispute resolution has been published (winter 2014). Contributors include several of the Symposium participants: Edward Bergman, Autumn Fiester, Thaddeus Pope, Charity Scott, and Ellen Waldman.

The Journal continues to enjoy working with and publishing articles by many of the nation's foremost scholars and practitioners of mediation, negotiation, and arbitration, including, this year, Robert A. Baruch Bush (Hofstra), John Lande (Missouri), Andrea Kupfer Schneider (Marquette), Nancy Schultz (Chapman), and S. I. Strong (Missouri), to name just a few.
